RapidTools takes a fundamentally different approach to privacy. While most online tools upload your files to their servers for processing, we believe your documents are yours alone—they should never leave your device unless you explicitly send them somewhere.

1. Client-Side Processing Explained CORE FEATURE

How It Works

When you use any RapidTools tool (PDF merger, compressor, converter, etc.) or calculator:

• Your browser downloads the tool code once (JavaScript files)
• You select your file(s) from your device using standard file picker
• Processing happens entirely in your browser using your device's CPU and memory
• Result is generated locally and offered for download directly from your browser
• No network transmission of your file data occurs (except downloading the tool itself)

Technical Implementation

We use industry-standard JavaScript libraries like PDF-lib, JSZip, and browser-native APIs to manipulate files entirely within your browser environment. Your files are read into browser memory, processed, and the result is written back to browser memory before download—at no point are they transmitted to our servers or any external service.

What We DON'T Collect

The following data is never collected, stored, or transmitted when you use RapidTools:

• Your files — PDFs, images, documents, or any other files you process
• File names — The names of files you select or create
• File contents — Text, images, metadata, or any content within your files
• File metadata — Creation dates, author information, file properties
• Processing parameters — Compression levels, page selections, conversion settings
• Personal information — Names, email addresses, phone numbers, physical addresses
• Account data — We don't require accounts, so we don't collect usernames, passwords, or profiles
• Payment information — RapidTools is free, so no credit cards or payment data

What We DO Collect

We collect minimal, anonymous data to understand how our website is used and to improve our tools:

Website Analytics Data

• Page views — Which pages you visit on RapidTools
• Time on page — How long you spend on each page
• Referring source — Where you came from (search engine, direct link, etc.)
• Device type — Desktop, mobile, tablet (for responsive design)

3. Analytics & Website Usage Data GOOGLE ANALYTICS

Google Analytics 4 (GA4)

We use Google Analytics 4 to collect website usage statistics. This is a third-party analytics service provided by Google LLC.

What Google Analytics Collects:

Services We Use

RapidTools integrates with the following third-party services:

Google Analytics 4

• Purpose: Website usage analytics
• Data shared: Anonymous page view data, device info, geographic region

Content Delivery Networks (CDNs)

We may use CDNs to deliver JavaScript libraries and fonts faster. CDNs are servers that cache and deliver website resources. Common CDNs we may use include:

• Google Fonts or self-hosted fonts — For typography

Important: CDNs deliver only the tool code (JavaScript), never your files. Your file data never touches CDN servers.

Hosting Provider

• Purpose: Website hosting and delivery
• Access to user files: None—files are never uploaded to hosting servers
• Server logs: May contain IP addresses, page requests, and timestamps (standard web server logging)

Third-Party Links

RapidTools may contain links to external websites (e.g., documentation, tool libraries, resources). We are not responsible for the privacy practices of these third-party sites. We encourage you to read their privacy policies before providing any personal information.

6. Data Security & Browser Safety

HTTPS Encryption

RapidTools is served over HTTPS (SSL/TLS encryption). This means:

• The connection between your browser and our website is encrypted
• Third parties cannot intercept or view the pages you visit on RapidTools
• Your browser verifies the authenticity of our website (prevents impersonation)

Browser-Based Security

Since all file processing happens in your browser, your files are protected by your browser's built-in security features:

No Account, No Breach

Data We Hold About You

The answer is: Almost nothing. Since we use client-side processing and don't require accounts:

• We don't have your files or file data
• We don't have your personal information
• We only have anonymous analytics data that cannot identify you individually

You can request information about what data we hold about you. Given our client-side architecture, the answer will typically be "none" beyond anonymous analytics.

You can request deletion of your data. However, since we don't collect personal data or files, there is typically nothing to delete.

You can object to analytics tracking by:
